I have tried the --keep-test-dir option. 

The content of the tmp dir is the following as expected :

homer:/home/did# ls /tmp/tmpPehvbW/
local  trunk

In the trunk directory, there is a setup.py file

I have applied your patch on repositories.py but running the tests still
fails with the same error.
