I hate setuptools/eggs because they duplicate the functionnalities
that packaging systems like RPM and DEB have been evolving for a
decade.

Of course, if setuptools/eggs become ubiquitous, we will support them
in our packages. But unlike mercurial[1], we will not push them
forward.

1: did I tell the list we have switched to mercurial and offer public
   access to our source code at http://www.logilab.org/hg ?
